Our story
Art of Salmó (AOS) was founded in 2019 with a simple purpose: to introduce Malaysians to the premium quality of Norwegian Fjord Trout. What began as a venture with a close friend later grew into a family endeavour, with siblings joining to shape and expand the brand.
Our brand name, Salmó, is derived from the Salmonidae family — the scientific group that encompasses salmon, trout, chars, graylings, freshwater whitefishes, taimens, and lenoks.
We began with Norwegian Fjord Trout, chosen for its outstanding quality and sustainable farming practices. Norway’s aquaculture is internationally recognised for its strict standards, ensuring care for the environment, animal welfare, and food safety. Responsibly raised and carefully managed, Norwegian farmed fish are also safe to enjoy raw — making them ideal for sashimi and many other culinary experiences.
At AOS, our vision is simple: food should be easy to prepare and a joy to eat. With seasonings, sauces, and ready-to-cook selections, we make wholesome meals both effortless and enjoyable.
And because our journey has always been about sharing good food in meaningful ways, AOS has grown into more than just fish. Along the way, we introduced Pet Mó — a line of delicate, nutritious treats for pets, first inspired by our early experiments with cakes and broths. We also launched NOSHI.CO, born from the joy of seeing how food brings people together, carrying the spirit of our tagline: “Where every moment unfolds in celebration.”
